More or less founded by immigrant-turned-bootlegger Tobalai "Tubby" Hiccupsky Wrippov (as the main thoroughfare is named for), Thieverton was once a heavily wooded unincorporated section of Mess County that provided safe haven for some of the most notorious Prohibition-Era gangsters that served the Artopolan public's need for illegal liquor (that the crazies of the time really cherished)...When Prohibition ended and the houligans slowly went legit, the area started to morph into a community dominated by some of the most powerful and affluent people (along with the nearby town of Stench, which mainly contains residences of the political heirarchy, including "Hizz DISonner" [Mayor Grafft]) in the whole of Artopolis Metro...Some of the most lavish estates are here, showplaces of big-time names/families in the corporate and local business world...As "Tubby" Wrippov once put it, "If you can't afford it, you'd BETTER be headed somewhere else!"
