I love the colors here too! lovely shades of pink and red contrast nicely with the green. what a gorgeous tree you have lucky you!! so you live in canada?

Lovely to see a spring-like picture in the middle of my rather drab fall. The greens of the grass in the background are so vivid and the blossoms are so fragile in appearance yet vibrant in pastel color. What kind of tree or bush is this? Is it an apple tree? I think what's throwing me off is the very dark red of the leaves. I can't think of any tree or shrub that sports that red a leaf with those types of flowers, but I'm up to learning something new at any time ...very pretty and very clearly presented :)PJ

I thought it was a chokecherry tree, but I may be mistaken. It does have a beautiful red color through most of the spring/summer, but during fall it turns a dark green, and then all the leaves fall off. Yep, from British Columbia, Canada It would be awesome if it was an apple tree, my daughter LOVES apples! ( so do I so I wouldn't complain too much) No such luck though...do have a couple plum trees in the backyard.
