The Farak Ebn Berkuk mosque in Cairo is over 600 years old and was named after the 16th century sultan, who I believe is buried there. It is one of few mosques in Cairo that has not been either completely restored or utterly vandalized, and sits as it has for the last 6 centuries. joey

Beautiful composition on this... I love the light and shadows. The patterns in the latticework are beautiful, and I like the way the streaks of sunlight on the floor in the room beyond offset those patterns. Thank you for posting!

From quiet homes and first beginning, Out to the undiscovered ends, There's nothing worth the wear of winning, But laughter and the love of friends.

If I shall sell both my forenoons and afternoons to society, as most appear to do, I'm sure that, for me, there would be nothing left worth living for. - Henry David Thoreau
