Hi June, this is just a great image! I really like it! It creates an ambience that terrifies me, just kidding! It certainly qualifies as a winner in the upcoming contest! I love the treatment given it! It is dreamy, scary, and makes me think, that this is one place I don't want to be alone! I think that is what a good photo does, it makes one feel as the photo so often dictates, don't you think? Besides being a very good image, it could be a good winner, as well!! Sincerely, Marilyn

Nice image. I think it's very artistic, and kind of conceptual, without having a huge explanation, and rather; leaving it for intepretation. It seems very close to a dream, and in my opinion thats exactly what i would look for in this contest. Seems quite peaceful, but makes us wonder what is around the bend in the river. good job

Good morning everyone! I am glad to hear that you all like the image. I liked the image before the editing also, but being so far off in the distance, I found that it could have been just a bit sharper. There were pole lines in the sky that needed removing also, and when I saw the contest, I knew that I could use this one and still get some enjoyment from it. I used photoshop and some filters for the fog and dreamy look.

What's up with the c-index? This is very good. The soft gauzey focus really gives it a fantastic (as in fantasy) quality. The image seems to be of a flood, but the soft focus makes it seem much less destructive until I look closely at what it really appears to be. You continue to amaze me, June, and I'm glad to see you again after a long absence (you or I - I can't tell :-)
