What a difference in the looks and size between this one and the yellow one I planted and photographed last year. JuneBug

Hi JuneBug. Looks like you captured some good detail on this lady-slipper although it is appears a bit out of focus. I have been down with a high fever though, so my eyes could also be a bit wacky :)
I like the different markings in the 'slipper' part. That is what makes these kinds of blooms so unique. Thank you for sharing this with us :~)

Splendid photograph of the "pink lady slipper". It is a very separate flower.
Shining!

Hi Junie Gem, Mimi is right, you have captured much detail, and very pretty colors! I like a green background too, gives an entirely different perspective as does the often used black! While the black of course, adds such a dramatic elegance to most images, the greens always make me think of that wonderful outdoors, which I can never get enough of, especially now, with the marvelous scents, frangrances riding the soft breezes of the season! You did a nice job here June, and I like the beautiful specimin! Thanks for sharing with us, as it pleases me when you do, or when you find time to, as I know how busy a young Mom can be! WOW, and you do such a great job of it too, my friend! Sincerely, Marilyn

I love orchids - there is such an amazing diversity of both color and form within that family of plants. Great documentation of both of these traits!
