Jersey cattle are a small breed of dairy cattle. Originally bred on the British Channel Island of Jersey, the breed is popular for the high butterfat content of its milk and the lower maintenance costs incurred by its lower bodyweight, as well as its genial disposition. Possibly the best known example of the breed outside the United Kingdom is Elsie the Cow, the famous mascot of Borden, Inc., in the United States. Her face appears on cans of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk, cheeses, fresh and shelf stable milk. Info from Wikipedia. Photo taken wirh Sony A350. Hope you like it and thanks for watching :-)

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2

It's been a long time since I have seen a Jersey cow in a U.S. pasture. I saw them all the time as a child growing up in Ohio. Now, they are no longer to be found. They seem to have been replaced by the Holstein that's produces milk in quantity rather than quality. the jersey is a beautiful cow as well. That is an Ashire on the other side of the Jersey.
Good post. By the way, you posted this image twice. One of them should be removed.
