Placing the sun just off center in some cases makes for a better comp especially when you have a shoreline to work with.I like the sun hitting the shoreline and the rocks here, nice mood.

I really like the three dominant horizontal lines in this photo. Where the water and shore meet, the incoming wave, and the line between heaven and sea. Extraordinary use of shading and illumination. KT, you have a very good photo here.
