An 18 c-index? Lordy! This may not belong in the fractal hall of fame, but it doesn't belong in the toilet either...Sorry to be so blunt, but I'm disturbed by the ease with which a number of people here are dishing out scores more suitable for a poorly made finger painting.
Anyway, this is pretty, Sarah. I have a couple of suggestions for you...First, what size are you rendering your TieraZon fractals at? I would strongly suggest that you set the size to 2560X1920 or above, if you're not already doing so. In addition (if you're not already doing so), check on "auto anti-alais" under "Convolve" on the top menu bar BEFORE you set your final render size. Doing this will take the edge off and give you a much sharper fractal. Hope you don't mind my suggestions... I really like the design and colors of this very much and think you could make it sharper, with fewer "rough edges" by simply doing what I suggested above. You can bring the size down to 1600X1200 in Photoshop after you render it. Wen
Hello Wendy...thanks for stopping by and giving me lots of advice. I appreciate it. I think the days of fractals and abstract art are gone. I think people's tastes have changed.
I render at 800x600 'cause that's all my monitor will allow. It's an old one. I create and then change the size in ACDSee to 1600x1200. I'm not seeing the imperfections that everyone else sees due to the small 13 in monitor. Once I get a new system...I'll do better. I create 'cause it makes me happy and relaxes me. I've gained a lot of friends since I've started here and that's what matters most to me. Once I get better equipment, I'll make better art. Thanks for the compliments. I'm glad you liked it even thru the imperfections. :) Sarah
Well thank you razorjack. I fiddled with it until I got those colors. It wasn't easy. That program can be quite tempermental. LOL I appreciate your support and taking time to look at my work. Have a great day! Sarah :)
