Really beautiful picture. It has a very hollywood epic feel about it, with the stunning backdrop and the mist rolling in off the horizon. The white post in the lower right corner is a bit of a distraction, but a very minor one. Great work Kev, keep it up mate.
This picture is very beautiful, you're lucky to have gotten a chance to experience such a spectacular place! The only complaint I could make is the noise on the beach sand. I know taking a picture with such contrast differences is difficult to compensate for, and I give you credit for what you've been able to accomplish.
The colour palette of sundown in this picture is awesome. I would love to sit on this beach drinking a cold beer and spending time with friends... Anyway, good shot!
Oh Kevin!...how gorgeous, its the best time of the afternoon too. I can smell and feel the whole scene! And even right then you can have a fire going...and sit and chat...oh my...I live right here..an hour from Canon Beach, and I never get enough of it!! You did wonderful with the photography of this particular scene. I love how the dark part of the day shows...what people are doing...and the sun has already set....yet they are all out there lovin' every moment. The only thing I personally would suggest to change would be not to let the little part of someones deck show...and also I think I would crop out the water from that stream in the foreground..or show more of it..but I dont think yoiu need it in the picture..I mean the concentration is on Haystack Rock...so that tad bit of water in the front is a slight distraction..You got the horizon perfectly and the contrast between the water and the sand is perfect..............sheesh..you just can't do much better!! I love it!!! verena
