This is a tough pic on which to comment. It is not my kind of pic. So I will go in the direction of perhaps improving the take... at least from my way of seeing things (and I know nothing other than what it is that appeals to me!) First... that which has already been mentioned... more vertical view is necessary to fill the screen (I hope you cropped out the reflection because you didn't like it and we must respect that decision) so more of the water above the duck would be required. Second... I feel the ducks body is the focal point rather than the head. The only way to correct this is to deal with another photo... or :o) have a re-take! :o) And as always... feel free to see things Your Way!

Actually the first thing I saw in this picture wasn't the duck, but the water... LOVE the water! The ripple is perfection.. the duck is nice too, the clarity of the feathers on its back is great. Nice job.

I think on a Widescreen presentation such as this using the Rule of Thirds would improve the image.
