I was using my Rebel XT at the time just messing around learning how to use it. I've actually made a 20x30 print of this image and it came out pretty nice.
Is this your representation of the big bang theory? LOL. Pretty neat. I tried taking pictures of fireworks last year, and it was a big disaster. This is very good. Good work, friend.
We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
When I'm shooting fireworks I usually have to fill half a card in order to get a couple that look good -- it's tough to get them "tack sharp." Very nice capture here. I'm also glad you didn't decide to submit a vertical (since most fireworks travel vertically); it's difficult to create a screen wallpaper from a vertical photograph unless you're willing to frame it. The best way to view fireworks is up close and, when viewing the big, expensive ones, they are generally huge and in your face, seemingly filling the whole sky. Anyone never having had that experience can get a taste of it from your shot -- just like in life, it fills the whole sky.
