Taken this year at the EUROMINERAL & EUROGEM in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. Through a partnership between several community associations and councils, this internationally renowned mineralogical show brings together over 900 exhibitors from 60 countries this year to serve more than 25,000 mineralogical enthusiasts and the mineralogically curious from around the world Although relatively unknown to the general public, Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines is the flagship of the mineralogy business in France and is part of the world's mineral trade triumvirate alongside Tucson (USA) and Munich (Germany). It's always fantastic to see all the beautiful minerals, stones, fossils.

The photo looks very good,the minerals look very good,very good colors too,i have a bunch of minerals here too but they are smaller (Quartz,mineral from Brazil...).

Je suis à chaque fois un peu frustré de ne pas réussir de belles photos de toutes les merveilles présentées à la Foire aux Minéraux.
Il va falloir investir dans un objectif macro pour l'année prochaine.

This is a good photo record of the display. If you had the capability elevating the camera to look down on the top shelf slightly would have given the image a better perspective. I don't know if you used a fill flash to highlight the colors of the minerals or not.

I live in Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Carnegie Museum has an outstanding Gems and Minerals hall so I might go try and reproduce this!!
