One day when checking on the quails we keep i found them sleeping and I just had to grab the camera to take this shot.

Quite a portrait, really nice sharp focus. The darkened background makes the color pop. Nicely done.

It's not simply stark against the darkness, it fades into it. Probably have to catch them sleeping to get this still and sharp a photo. The eye detail is amazing
