You do a really good job of capturing these cuties through the screen...won't be long before he's a regular at Marsha's diner...nice colors on this bird and one I'll enjoy on my desktop.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
It's the classic Red Headed Woodpecker. He's also in the Eagle family. Perhaps it's an infant Buzzard. Perhaps you dabbed that red color on him to create a new species?
I'm not posting on your stuff anymore. Too confusing.
Marsha, this is a good one lady, for taking it through the screen you captured the color, and details of this finch, I can't see the screen, I think this is one of your best bird captures. Tigs♥ =^..^=
Your ID is correct Marsha - he's a house finch - my mom has a whole family of these at her feeders - this is an excellent shot - I can't tell it was through the screen.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
