Thats an interesting picture, black and white is harder to do well than colour. You have done well.

Those snowy logs give that end-of-war, harsh winter, dying fire feel. That aside, the sunbeam seems to be the only foreign form of life in this solitude woods. B&W works well here (with a touch of somberness?). I reckon colour would work too, but that might create a different theme altogether.
