This was taken early in the afternoon on a Thursday. I emerged from some part of this mountain range the following Friday afternoon. You may have recently heard of two Maine hikers who were lost in the mountains of Western Maine in the driving rain and cold over a 26 hour period. I was unfortunately one of those hikers. http://www.boston.com/news/local/maine/articles/2006/10/20/2_hikers_believed_lost_on_maine_new_hampshire_border/ The article says we walked 18 hours straight before meeting with wardens. We actually walked 18 and a half hours before breaking into a cabin and then, about 7 and a half hours later, meeting up with the swarming media, which beat the wardens to us by about 30 minutes.

Beautiful capture Michael filled with drama. Love the light coming through the middle of the clouds. Awesome view and so well done. Thanks for this one.

This is just a stunning scene and very turbulent. You can really feel the rolling of the clouds. very reflactive of your situation. Pathetic falacy they would call it in theatre! I think you can say it as well worth you getting lost for a shot like this!

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
