I'm not entirely satisfied with this picture, but am posting it per request.
At 306 feet, the tower is higher than the Statue of Liberty.
EDIT: This is in Bennington, Vermont.
Well, I think it is really impressive. At first I thought it was
the Washington Monument. The colors are really nice and the shot is very clear. What don't you like about it?
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
I know what you mean there with not being satisfied with the image. Monuments are really hard to get to look like anything other than postcards. If it makes you feel any better, I've been here and taken pics of this place too and none of them look this good. Maybe you could try manipulating it some. It might look cool in b/w with a hazy edge or in a collage with other patriotic images.
PS-Did you take any pictures from the top? There is a really sweet little church that you can see from there. I took some pictures of it with the fall colors in full spread. They came out pretty cool because of the angle.
