Somewhere in Arizona. Camera is Canon S5 IS in super macro mode. 1/60s, f/2.7, ISO: 125, Focal Length 6.0mm
Was afraid of scratching my lens! It wasn't a problem. =P
Aloha! Enjoy!
Nice shot of a deadly-looking subject! The only suggestion I can make is to clone out the thorn tips at the far left, and the scratch marks (?) to the right of the main subjects.
An original angle, it works well. The different directions of the spine make it quite dynamic. My only suggestion would be to avoid putting the focus quite so much in the centre, but that would be nit-picking. Nice work.
Great work. The image is both natural and surreal. I am a big fan of macro work and appreciate this alot.
I agree with the comments from sailorman6309. When I look at macro photography, I tend to analyse the details much more than a landscape picture. The camera artifacts also turn from micro to macro. This scrutiny is purely because of my enjoyment of the microscopic world. My pictures are no-where near perfect, but I think some minor editing / tidying up of the cactus image would make a big improvement to an already good image. THanks for sharing......! :-)
