Taken (1st October 2009, 6:17pm) when walking along Praia do Guincho, in Portugal. This guy appeared to spend alot of time just enjoying the moment, bringing the rod to life only once in a while. Thanks for stopping by and looking :-)

Much of the beauty in life is found in people who care.
Excellent shot, well composed and lit. Just enough detail on the rocks to make it not quite a silhouette which I do not think would have been as good.

I like it, the motion in the wave far right brings it to life. I wonder if it would have been worth desaturating the man to turn him into a complete silhouette...

My thoughts would be, I wish I was fishing and sitting out there thinking instead of indoors. Great capture Richard and the lighting is terrific - you caught this at the perfect time of day.

I can imagine sitting there for a very long time...whether fish were caught or not...the time would be well spent. Lovely shot Richard.
