They almost have an elegance in the way that they look, as if they might be ready to fly off to a ball!! Both of your uploads of this insect have been nothing short of excellent!! :)PJ
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso
thats just a fantastic capture! Your right PJ they do always look as though they have tails on. I am always amazed that their eyes look so much bigger than their heads. wonderful capture
What a fantastic capture... one of the best insect shots i've seen in a long time.. perfectly clear, great colour and DOF.. I hate those things, but on here he is a beauty.. excellent work
The angle on this guy is wonderful. He could be in a sci-fi movie. Fantastic capture, Michael. Did you just leave him there on the pavement and go home to bed? lol
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Hey there Mister Madman, wat'cha know that I don't know
Tell me some crazy stories, let me know who runs this show
Glassy-eyed and laughing, he turns and walks away
Tell me what made you that way
Great capture of this guy Michael! I'd say he isn't praying, but IS dancing and "getting down" :) He was quite obliging to pose for you - terrific details too! Thanks for seeing this critter in a different way :^>
