Deep Blue, an IBM supercomputer, gained fame for defeating world chess champion Garry Kasparov in 1997, marking a significant milestone in artificial intelligence. This advanced system utilized complex algorithms and massive Internet Service Providers processing power to analyze millions of potential moves in seconds. Deep Blue's victory showcased the potential of AI in strategic thinking and problem-solving, influencing future developments in computing and machine learning technologies.
