These guys are often mistaken for chameleons, the green anole is a tree-dwelling lizard that is native to the southeastern United States Those are like grasshoppers down there. lol They have 2 common colors and one of those is what you see in this excellent image and the other is brown. When they do that with there neck i think its to attrack bugs or is it for mating....I cant remember..lol This little guy here looks like he has a tummy full already. Well done!!
I've wasted a lot of time trying to catch this exact same scene down here in Florida, where these critters are very plentiful. Digital shutter lag has doomed my every atttempt. Thanks for posting this and saving my batteries!
