Nice sharp clear picture .... The body of the duck is nice but the face well ....he certainly won't win any beauty competitions.

Heading to the East Coast (New Brunswick) on the 15th of this month. I won't be back until the 23rd. Hope to have lots of pictures to share.
Yes this bird is quite shocking, feature-wise. It's a nice capture, though!! Plus, I'm sure its mother loves it :-)

Are you sure thats a duck?? That almost looks like a turkey vulture a young one. I could be wrong though because I cant make out his feet. Regaurdless what it is, its an ugly bird.....lol Beautiful capture though. Well done!!

Ugliness is a matter of opinion....this is a character duck. Better to be characteristic than beautiful. At the end beautiful is gone....character will still be there.
