I find it dark, and not a little, confusing.
It does have a rather interesting design, in it's ability to keep you occupied, and searching.
I increased the gamma (lightening the mesh of branches to their natural tone) and added an Artistic effect, which seemed quite pleasing.
It's purely subjective, as is all art, and that's the way I found it to be more interesting.

Personally i like it dark, although my style is generally a little to dark... only thing i might have tried to avoid (if possible) is the burnt out highlights behind the tree, other then that nice work.
