Gosh this could of been a take of the century only if you would of had more speed on your lens. Beautiful Bird, just a bit blurred. Did you try to sharpen it up a bit with your editor? Cause this is a super great shot. Mucho well done...

I knew I was going to love this from the thumbnail... I actually like the blur of the wings as contrasted to the sharpness of his head and beak... and the controlled palette is something that is always satisfying to me.

Was this actually a blurred shot as some of the other comments are suggesting or did you run it through a filter to get this effect? I've used filters on some of my shots to make them more like paintings (and I think of the years I spent at an easel -- oy!) because I think that sometimes it makes the photo better. Whatever method you used on this I love it. I gave it a 9 in the voting booth.

Well, I gave this a 10 when I saw it. I don't understand why your total score isn't higher, but that's not a thing to worry about. This is one amazing photo, and I saved it to my hard drive :)
