This shot shows all of the action! I am usually too close to get this shot! This one should show a little more of how I have been shooting these! Although I usually just throw the mortar shell into the water in this case I shot it out of the tube so it exploded just over the water! of coarse they do not recommend this, but its fun!

In some strange way, it looks like a flower blossom to me. I won't tell, and you're getting some spectacular results.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

You are doing dangerous things. But the effect looks nice.

I imagine it took a number of tries to get the firework to explode just above the water. I've seen fireworks reflections in water before but never one this close. Pretty cool (and it gives me some ideas to try myself-thanks).

It does show all the action, but that leaves large areas essentially blank which is photographically uninteresting. This might explain the low CI. Good capture of the action, and nice reflection in the water.
