This is the Pied Cormorant visible in the lower right section of my previous upload. Both photos taken from the same spot and nice illustration of the zoom on the Canon S3 IS. A bit of noise work and layer modes to get that mirror-like quality of the water "just right". :)

Enjoy.

Mikel.

Great mirror image...I am also struck by the placid water and how silent it 'feels' while viewing...great work.

I know how small a portion of the original this is and I'm pleased to say that it's been worked to perfection. Great job on this little number!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

The seamless connection between the actual and reflection make for a great shot. Love your color, too.

Amazing image Mikel, you've done an awesome job with the reflections. I have an S3IS and it has served me very well but I frequently have noise issues, probably because I am useless at photoshop. Anyway, it's great to see the camera's possibilities in the hands of someone as clever as yourself. Well done:)

Mikel - this one takes my breath away. The clarity of the blue and the image of the Cormorant looking into the open water - his reflection following - spectacular image.
