I'm pretty sure that grass is not native grass, I suspect it's some version of European grass we brought here in the last two hundred years. Wherever it came from it loves the water.

What a dreamy place you captured so well. Are those sand dunes in the distance? Also, is that a cairn of some kind on the left side? Beautiful photo.. perfect sky. Perfect place to glide through in a kayak.
