Originally taken at Daggets Country Park in the Midlands a couple of years back. I liked the narrative/metaphor so I've been working on it in a desultory manner for a couple of years. My Gimp skills eventually caught up with my conceptual skills. :) It was a case of selecting only the trees and the skyline, deleting everything else then darkening and sharpening the fractal spread of the limbs without losing too much detail and sticking a gradient in the background that looked at least semi-natural then adding a bit of texture to that.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

Tree siblings, I like the metaphor. As well as the layers of color and those lovely detailed silhouette branches. Wonderful eye and vision.

That's a lot of work, Mikel, but the results are worth it. Simple and effective with beautiful chosen gradient. You've honed your editing skills so well.
