More Snowy Mountain Foothills. After a few days of heavy rain everything has that lovely "just washed" look and the moisture in the air is all gone so distance clarity is much better than normal. If you wondering why so many of those trees on the flat are dead, the roots were drowned, this area should be underwater as it's the shallow end of a water reservoir but with so little rain in the last ten years most of Australia's reservoirs have been way way low.

PS, This would be the north east end of the Hume Reservoir.

A great landscape, and I love that sky. The cloud shadows on the foothills add a nice touch. I'd love to see this scene when the reservoir is full. Here's wishing for rain.
