Another shot from the western slopes of the Snowy Mountains, Australia.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

PS As a few folk have commented about the bull with no feet, fair point, I do have a larger version, if I post it, the reason for the close crop might become evident, or not. :) Owd Bob has sent me a lovely re-work of this shot, takes an entirely different approach to than I did, with pretty cool results that are also a great illustration of an important dynamic, so I might post that one next. Keep the honest analysis coming dudes, always considered and appreciated by me.

Owd Bob did a rework of this image you can find The Rework here.

Nice shot, Mikel.

Like your composition of the setting very much.

Save one thing..

Have me curious as to why you cut off the one bull's legs?

That one single merger is driving me ... well, you know. :oP

That aside, have some creative food for thought for you.

Seems more than fitting, given what my monitor is displaying to my eyes. Things being a tad ... tad, mind you ... dark. And as a result some details are lost in the shadows.

Not sure how this translates in The Gimp. However, you are more than adept with the program and perhaps can work your way through this Photoshop tutorial:

"Better than HDR: local exposure editing"

With that said, and my nonsense above aside ... challenging lighting conditions (understatement) handled well.

Nice feel and mood to this one. Transports me ... so, mission accomplished.

And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)

Beautiful scene with a really wonderful sky and nice green ground, although I do see some fuzziness in the bulls or blurriness maybe.. also that one bull is hiding :) Interesting shot despite my remarks.

Of course the first thing that pops at me is the great sky. Lovely contrasts and colors. Seems to be Spring? It isn't too dark here, but I would agree about having a bit more real estate in the foreground. Especially being that they rate important enough to be included in the title. : )

All three bulls seem to be keeping a close eye on you. Sometimes, a little cropping is the best choice, even when you wish it wasn't necessary. A very nice landscape, Mikel. It might be a bit on the dark side, but I like the mood you've created.

From your point of view one cannot be completely certain whether one admires bulls or cows [missing horns].
On the other hand Owd Bowb made is quite clear ! LOL
Very nice image - yours and the SOB's rework !!!
