Samsung ES75 plus a fair bit of Gimp magic. I was trying to make the most of the water patterns in the last light, with the light coming in at such a low angle it showed up the ripples strongly and I've always been fascinated with the textures of water.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

Well done on the water...it looks like a carpet weave pattern!

The criss-cross ripples are fascinating Mikel.
A most arresting image with its vibrant colous. I like the inclusion of the branches - sort of anchors the viewer as well as framing the image.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Truly enjoy the focus on the water patterns. Makes me wonder what conditions led to the quilted effect over the water surface.

A great shot, Mikel! I like the framing, and the touch of orange in all that amazing blue is very nice. A very pleasing sunset.
