From memory these gardens are about four hundred years old. It was quite an experience wandering thru them in often pouring rain, which kept most people out of what is normally a very crowded space, but which also forced my hand on the settings I could use, convincing me that I need to add a truly fast lens to my bag. I love my DA* 16-50 Pentax but it's only 2.8 and that simply wasn't fast enough for the low grey light of days like this in confined spaces without a tripod. Anyway, I've got to get myself one of these uber cool round doorways, love 'em.
Enjoy.
Mikel.
