Do you see the "sink" - maybe you call them "washbasins" - somewhere you might not expect to see one? This shot gives a good feel for the sometimes claustrophobic quality of the old areas of Shanghai and the organic lived-in quality as well.

You've got to be kidding me, Mikel. Not much in the way of privacy, is there? You're making the most photographically of your stay in China. I've enjoyed all of your postings even if I haven't had the time to comment on each and very one.

Looks like quite the hodgepodge of wires, pole lines and piping. Black and white suits this shot very well. Looks like something from the tenements of early 20th century New York (except for the bath tub). I'm especially fond of the PVC pipe storage at the bottom center of the shot.

The current contest is "Simplicity". This is the opposite. Beautifully captured insanity.
