My six-year-old granddaughter is reasonably proud of enticing a Marsh Fritillary (Euphydryas aurinia) to land for a meal on her nectar-filled butterfly feeder, a feature of the Sioux Falls, SD, Butterfly House. The Dakota's only insectarium houses upwards of 800 species, in a constant 80 degrees of humid warmth and in a small but lush jungle of trees, bushes, a wide array of flowers, and a pond. To get all the necessary nutrients, butterflies will sometimes sip mineral-rich puddles. 4
Wonderful composition. It excellently shows that your granddaughter is mesmerized by the flying, now nectar-sipping, phenomenon. Excellent work. S+F, thanks for sharing, 👍 !
