KatMans ' Cindy's ' bridge ' gave me this idea. The bridge crosses over a brook and links wheatfields to the canal towpath.

Scenery is very nice Stan...the bridge is awfully far away and the greenery in the foreground seem to take away from it's beauty. It's still a very nice post and thanks for sharing it.

I am flattered that I inspired you. Stan, try increasing the f-stop to increase your DOF. Also, get closer to the main subject. A photograph should leave no doubt about its main subject. Nice work , a little rough around the edges, but a worthy effort of some really beautiful scenery!!

A nice attempt Stan, but like the two previous commentators I think you could do even better with a few small changes. I'd suggest taking another shot from an angle somewhere between the two upright clumps of vegetation in the foreground and more towards the left, i.e., nearer the stream bank. This would bring the main subject of your shot - the bridge - nearer and more into view whilst still retaining an oblique angle which gives interesting shadows. It would also bring the trees into greater prominence, which IMHO are more interesting than the field. I'd also suggest tweaking the contrast in a photo editor such as Photoshop, as the shot seems a little over-exposed. Lastly, if possible I'd suggest taking the shot at a higher definition so that it presents greater detail on a computer desktop without starting to pixillate. I hope this doesn't sound daunting! Mainly I'd just like to encourage you to continue taking shots; it will be great to see their full potential unfold.

Nice rustic beauty. Yes, do focus more on the bridge.

Yesterday's history. Tomorrow's a mystery. Today's a gift. That's why it's called the present.

Very nice... makes me want to go for a walk! It could be a better picture from a different angle, but it's still a good shot.
