Very good capture. You'll do fine with macros. The clarity and composition are very good.

I agree with Anita...this is very good for a first macro...I'd try to find something a little less busy to focus in on and narrow my depth of field a little when I found a subject, but you're on the right track as far as I can tell :)PJ

When I saw the title I thought maybe it was the kind of stump which comes in sets of three and is topped by bails which are inevitably knocked off by Australian bowlers:) Sorry, couldn't help myself. This is a great image Stan, it has tonnes of character, well done mate.
