This is one flower I can identify. It brings to mind those who served and died for freedom and those who are still doing it for us.

I really enjoy hearing from my caedes friends.
You might want to take a look at reducing the color saturation -- it obviously won't be as red, but you'll be able to see a lot more detail in the flower.

Interesting, never heard of that meaning for that particular flower before, but maybe it was used before the 70's. Nice photo.
