During my long absence I have begun my own company that provides videography services so naturally a lot of the tools and dynamics is similar to photography so I've been dabbling in it. This was taken during a beautiful summer evening during the hallowed golden hour. =D

Hello, Kevin....

This is a lovely shot. I'm a sucker for sunset photos, especially with interesting foreground silhouettes. Excellent colors in this very strange looking sky. Don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it. I've been trying some sunrise and sunset shots lately, and my crowd of Caedes friends would say that the silhouettes are not quite as sharp as they should be and that the tree on the far right should not have been cropped out of the shot. But they're knit pickers and I'm not. I'd give this a solid 7 out of 10 for what it's worth.

@palral

Thanks for your critique. As far as the setup of the shot is partly because I'm stilling learning my camera functions and properly setting up my shot with it. I don't think that I properly set up the shot for focus so that could just be a slight oversight on my part.

As far as the cropping I felt that the tree gave it better vertical depth. Whether or not that is just my perception, well I guess we shall see as I become better trained in professional photography =)

Thank you for your critique!

Update: I also learned recently that i have been over-cranking my gain which is causing some noise in my photos. Instead I need to open my f-stop more and perhaps even go for a longer shutter speed if I still need more light. Let me know if this would be the correct adjustment to make. Thanks

Beautiful sunset shot. Can't wait to see what shots look like when you learn this new camera.
