I like the idea behind this, the execution isn't quite there. The contrast of the bell looks good, but the trees interfere with it.

It's a nice subject but I'd give the colours, contrast and angle of the shot some more thought. Keep 'em coming...

Hi Olga, I agree with the comments above. I too love the concept, the subject and the contrast. My first thought was; "Too bad about those trees." Maybe from another angle? Unfortunately another angle is not always available and that's when experts take unwanted elements out with computer tools - hopefully one of the real experts on this site can show you how. Sorry I can't help you with this. Thanks for sharing. Gisele

Hello Olga and welcome to caedes!! I personally would like to see some trees, but more as a border on one side maybe. I think the little pieces of tree is a bit much and distracts from the bell itself. But I do like some of that to bring out the silhouette look you've created here. If you have a chance maybe you could take another photo of the bell? I also like the soft blue of the sky and the clouds..Nice work..Verena

Life is like a grindstone.Whether it grinds us down or polishes us up depends on us.

I find this picture to be unique. It's very nice. The center peace is the bell and the trees in the backround gives it a look of mysteriousness.
Very nice.

I'd crop the top border down to the horizontal bar and eliminate that upper slice of sky with the rods projecting through the border. That will place all the emphasis on the bell, with the rods ending in the horizontal support bar.
It will also give you the same combinations of diagonals (bar and tree) without the distracting influence above the bar.

Forgot to mention.... clone out the tiny bit of tree branches at the base of the bell.(just enough so they don't interfere with the ding-donger) clapper, or whatever it's called.
