Copper seems to be the 'in' colour at the moment, so when I saw these new leaves shimmering in full sunlight on a local beech tree, I felt they deserved a capture. Shot with a Canon S3 IS at 6mm, f4, 1/400, ISO 80.

You captured them quite nicely too. Vibrant colors.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Sorry I haven't gotten to this right away -- I was "away" for three nights watching the long version CD's of Lord of the Rings!
I love the colour of those leaves - usually it's the oaks in the fall that turn that shade. Sweet, sweet Spring! The sun is so beautiful and bright on them.

Magnificent colours and love the close up of these birch leaves.

Now are these the colours of the leaves during the spring and summer before the fall colours change it? Such a brilliant colour birch it is indeed.
