"If all be true that I do think, there are 5 reasons we should drink: good wine, good friends, or being dry, or lest we should be by and by, or any other reason why." (Henry Aldrich, A Catch, 1647-1710)
“Drunkards are doomed to hell, so men declare,
Believe it not, 'tis but a foolish scare;
Heaven will be empty as this hand of mine,
If none who love good drink find entrance there”
This great capture has a lovely mood Anne-Marie. My heart is beating faster seeing this image! Excellent composition and perfect lighting. To answer your question: I say YES please I will join you :-)
Shall I bring some baguette (french bread) and fromage (french cheese)? lol. Thanks for sharing my friend! I'm really happy to see some new work from you :):)
Yes I'll join you too if there is any left Anne-Marie. Lol! I agree with Gregg up there that this would be a great shot for a magazine. Done like the pro that you are my friend. Cheers!!!

Well, it looks like you have the beginning of a great party, I'd love to join you and your company! I've not tried this vintage, but I'm game. Wonderful lighting and composition on this Ann-Marie. And, if it tastes as good as the clarity of this image, I'm in heaven!
I shall attend, but I do not imbibe the sweet mead, nor any of its cousins. lol I do love the shot and the arrangement of forms as well as the wonderful lighting. As Gregg says, it should be in a magazine.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Me too! I want to come too! With so many people accepting your invitation, this is turning out to be a big party! Lovely colours, beautifull light and perfect mood setting. Well done and thanks for sharing.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

One of the best still lifes (lives?) I've seen, Anne-Marie. The lighting is superb, I can almost taste the grapes and wine. So, although like Cindy, I don't partake, I will certainly be there with bells on and with a glass of sparkling cider! :-)))

I have a glass already in my hand. The lighting on this is really very well done, as everyone has said. I'm wondering how you achieved such perfection. It is perfection and it also looks great on the desktop...it's almost time. Thanks for the invite.
I won't be uploading images until my computer comes out of its sudden death coma. I am commenting using a shared machine that doesn't have PhotoShop or my images on it. I'll let you help me tear my hair out.
Hello Anne-Marie....Top marks from me....This is truely an amazing still life image with good arrangement,light and colour...Give yourself a pat on the back....Well done....All the best....Mick.

Absolutely terrific capture. Perfect in every way. Kudos!! It would be nice to see a similar shot of this with a romance theme...maybe a rose or some other such flower of love or passion.
