Pretty as a picture! Wonderful natural light and excellent composition; I'd consider cloning out the burst of light from the interior through the window, however. High marks from me in any case.

Barbecue... Barbeque... Bar-B-Que... BBQ... no matter how you spell it. In the South, it's a noun.

The colors in this image are really striking. You got them all it looks like. I'd like to see all of the tree on the left instead of having it cut off, though. I'm down with the window suggestion too. Great image.

How pretty! such a simple little house, but so quaint and made beautiful with those flowers and the forest..I agree on taking out the light from the inside of the house..and yes, the whole tree, or at least some of the leaves on the branches would be great..but thats almost "pickey"..I mean the photo is just very pretty..the colours are soooooooooo nice!! I have naver liked blue houses, but wow, this one is very pretty. Yes, and the shadows give the whole photo such character!! bravo!!!

Thanks for your comments...I took this picture myself. What I meant with the description is that I wished the house with garden was mine.
Concerning remarks about removing the interior light: I try to show pictures right out of the camera, without editing in the computer. My pesonal view is that once you start editing too much with Photo Shop or similar programs, you can even make a pile of shit look good! I try ty limit the computer work to cropping pictures only. Hope you all agree.

Hmmm... an idea for the next contest?!? ;-) Haooy to say that this isn't a pile of anything though. Just a very bright, eye-catching and well done shot of a great subject.

There's an emptiness inside her and she'd do anything to fill it in. Though it's red blood bleeding from her now, it's more like cold blue ice in her heart. She feels like kicking out all the windows and setting fire to this life. She could change everything about her using colors bold and bright, but all the colors mix together...to grey. ~*DaveMatthewsBand*~

Paul, this has to be one of the 'happiest' images I have seen in a very long time. The colors of the house, the shadows from the vegetation, the reflections in the window, the light (okay by me), the wonderous field of flowers and a tree!! Who could ask for more. I like the tree where it is..it adds something to the image. Makes it more 'real' than 'posed'. The light shows this home is lived in & the flowers show that it is taken care of.....I am with you on this...wish it were mine! High marks and into my fav's on my h/d. What a cheerful desktop this will make on a cold, rainy autumn day. Thanks for posting it!

This photo is totally charming. The colours and dappled light work so well together. I like it just the way it is. Doing anything else is unnecessary.
