Wanting to give 15, 10 will have to do. What a perfect shot and I like the framing and drop shadow in this case. Red was the right choice. This bird looks like a porcupine on top!

What’s wrong with Crane Bert? It’s better than Crane Fred :-)

He’s a fabulous bird, the detail, colours and presentation are all excellent. He will just have to go into my favourites. By the way what kind of bird is he?

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...

Beautiful presentation, wonderful clarity, detail and color. The framing tops it off beautifully...High Marks.

While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see. ~Dorothea Lange

I would title this photo this ... "Serendipity." Why? You ask?

I was browsing more of your images, so many that I liked, that I was passing on the nature ones, that is until I came upon this one. The size of, colour and choice of matting appealed to me (were they intentional?) and I was trying to view the image in 800 X 600 resolution, when the image would not load. Hmm, so I tried 1024 X 768 and ... oh ... my ...
The detail is incredible and the colours, that much more intense. The bird's eyes had me transfixed, in addition to the other elements. Now, I just have to go back and see what I missed. See? "Serendipity" Fits, would you not agree?
Great photo, as are so so many of your others.
