This is (one of the) dining rooms of a castle in France - Vaux le Vicomte. The room made an everlasting impression on me, the light and the reflections in the mirrors created a magical atmosphere. Note the multiple reflections in the mirrors. I hope you will enjoy this picture. If you like these shots I will show you the castle itself tomorrow.

Very cool. Love those multiple reflections. A ton to view here in this relatively small area. I'm always fascinated to walk through how the other half lives and then equally relieved to be back in my humble abode grateful not to have to polish much or hold my breath everytime someone goes near anything! ;o So, carry on with the tour. I'm following along and will stay within the red satin ropes.

Excellent composition, Paul, so very much like a painting itself. The lighting is superb, it allows us to see as you saw with such beautiful detail.

Wonderful still life. I've always loved the renaisance style, layers upon garish layers all the way to the walls. How did you get the camera in? They won't let us do anything like that over here. And how did you get these un-tourist infested shots?

before i even read the description I was pondering: wouldn't the reflection of the mirror be the original one? I suppose not and I think it's a very nice capture!
