Here is another last shot of a passion flower. This one is actually not a macro, but instead a wide angle shot with a Canon EF-S 10-22 mm at 1/50, f16, ISO 200. In my opinion, that is one of the best lenses ever made and a real pleasure to use.

It is a wonderfully beautiful flower. All its parts are real interesting to look at and the colors are real nice. I think your camera and lens are doing a fine job for you Paul.

Well... :) the "passion" certainly "stems" from this beauty. Clarity and colors are wonderful and I love the shadow play you have captured on these delicate petals. Marvelous and into my favs.

A splendid photo, Paul. From what I have read, this sounded like a great lens, but now I can see for myself that it is. I would have thought only of using it for landscapes. Thank you for posting that information with this really beautiful post.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Absolutely amazing. Wonderful clarity and color on this. The lens has a great DOF at this scale. Very nicely done.

Great shot Paul. I suggest that you flip it horizontally so the dark dead area is on the left for icons. Very nice.
