Great image. I wonder why these robots always look so delicate... it's no wonder they seem to break down so easily... is it simply a matter of keeping the weight down or is there another reason they don't make them more robust?

Well they do look fragile but remember these two puppies have carried on functioning years after it was expected that they would break down. They are normally built in this slight manner to minimise power requirements and the possibility of more frequent breakdowns if they were over complicated.
