my husband and i went to san francisco on our honeymoon, and this photo makes me miss it! We stayed at the "hotel des arts" which is almost right across the street from the gate to china town. nice picture, and i can't wait to see the rest of your series!!! (we *loved* Yerba Buena Gardens, hint hint).

During one of my excursions to San Francisco...I took "The Vertigo Tour" which traveled to all the sections of town that you saw in the movie, more or less following the path that the Jimmy Stewart character "Scotty" drove trailing the car of the mysterious "Madelaine" portrayed by Kim Novak. This looks like one of the stretches...Nice capture!

At the very least the San Fransisco Tourism Board should consider putting you on retainer -- it certainly makes me want to visit.
