I saw an axolotl a month or two ago and was inspired to paint this for no other reason than I like their weird, macabre ghostliness :) Might add a bit more detail at some later stage, but for now I just want to upload something!
This is wild AND ghostly! What funny little creatures they are. I love your interpretation of them in this elegant white lady though, at first, I thought her a flower. Nice work, Hannah!
Love the crown/tiara.. amazing detail right there in just that one facet of your illustration here.
Annnd..
Everything about this one.
Translated the Axolotl's physical makeup onto a human form ... so fittingly and well.
The translucence is disturbing and beautiful. Love the hair you chose, as it provides a very nice finishing touch.. with respect to her visage and body receding (compositionally) into almost near nothingness. (And it's done exquisitely once again.)
you are a very very talented artist hannah, i love your work, i have to spend a lot more time in your gallery, just really busy, and thanks so much for the fave on arctic morning, i really appreciate your favour, you inspire me........
A most excellent piece. I love the seamless transition from skin to clothes (or is it clothes to skin?) Almost fish-like as from its body to fins. Into the favs.
