One of the only places common to my entire childhood, this dock. It's beautiful there.. the ramp is up though for the winter. The place was deserted.. just how I like it best. And the beach looked as though it hadn't been combed for years. Probably not since I left it! Got a pocket full of periwinkle shells and beach glass to prove it. cheers, Quiet

Real classy picture. Too bad about the vertical orientation, but it looks great. Love the bright sun and the background, as well as the reflection. The trees make great...arrow thingies...and the dock looks really rustic. Nice shot.

I wonder if most artists and photographers, and I'm not sure there's a difference there..lol..like solitude and places to go sit and ponder away from the bustlin' crowd (got me thinking of songs now) I know I sure do that. This beautiful capture of just such another place is special for that and many other reasons. The only thing I would change about this is the slight over exposure on the water in the background, but the message is there and you've presently it very nicely :)PJ

Perfect.
There are few places in the world where people can have a quiet moment, and one of those places is at the end of a small dock, like in this picture.
I would like to take a step into this picture, because it says "Here You can rest".
Great work.

Very artistic and the moonlight is just grand on the water.

This is a very beautiful shot. I can honestly imagine this as a lovely CD cover for some type relaxing, sultry jazz music! It's perfect!

I love this calming peaceful shot of the pier and the water. I downloaded this one to use later as my desktop. Thanks for sharing.

Glad I caught this one ... I like the narrow perspective here. Wouldn't have thought B&W would be the way to go BUT you pulled it off wonderfully here with the rather unusual framing and choice of colors. Coupled with your lovely descriptive ... Quite a stunning post. Well done.

Perfect photo and I very much like how you brought the frame and the photo together with the color you chose for the frame.

May the sun bring you new energy by day. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your sorrows. May the breeze blow new strength into your being. May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life. (An Apache Blessing)
